Today we were tasked with doing either 2 drawings with 1 or 2 point perspective, or one with 3 point perspective. I went with the former.
I made this choice because last week we did our 3 point perspective showcase with the building of our choice (Vijay Patel). So I wanted to go back and review 1 and 2 point perspective.
One thing I struggled with the most in terms of workflow was ensuring line weight was effective around my drawings. I sometimes (without thinking about it) tend to press hard on my pencil to make my drawing, possibly because I have the mindset of 'I want to see what it looks like before it is done'.
However, that is not the proper way of doing things, additionally, I lost track of details, for example, I could have bricks running along an edge, then a board came into view, then I would mess up the brick tiling.
To combat these problems, I will in future draw with a lighter pencil such as HB, rather than 2B or 4B as the lines look incredibly thick, even with those pencils.
Finally, to ensure I am getting details correct, I will try to visualise/draw through an object to make sure details line up correctly.
